Application of TT-BD Pendulum Impact Tester

It is suitable for evaluating the pendulum impact resistance of various films and composites, including plastic films, thin films, and multilayered materials. It can test packaging materials such as PE/PP composite films, aluminum-plated films, aluminum–plastic composites, and nylon films used in food and pharmaceutical packaging. Additionally, it is suitable for assessing the impact resistance of paper and paperboard, including aluminized papers for cigarette packaging and aluminum–plastic paper composites used in Tetra Pak cartons.

Working Principle of TT-BD Pendulum Impact Tester

The instrument uses a semi-spherical impact head that strikes and penetrates the sample at a specified ram speed. By measuring the energy consumed during the impact, the tester calculates the pendulum impact resistance value of the film sample, providing a reliable evaluation of its toughness and durability.
