Migration Testing
Overall migration covers all kinds of substances that are transferred from food packaging to food irrespective of the nature and toxicological profile of the substance. Our TT-F1800 Fully automatic migration tester is specialized for testing dissolved non-volatile-matter of materials after soaking in a specific solution.
Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) Testing
An important requirement in selecting food packaging systems is the barrier properties of the packaging material. Barrier properties include permeability of gases (such as O2, CO2, and N2), water vapor, aroma compounds, and light. These are vital factors for maintaining the quality of packaged foods.
Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR) Testing
Water vapor transmission rate (WVTR), is a measure of the passage of water vapor through a substance. MVTR or WVTR testers determine the water vapor transmission rate of flexible barrier materials used in packaging or industrial applications. Key factors to understand material permeation include the thickness of the material and environmental factors such as relative humidity and temperature.
Burst Strength Testing
The burst strength of a flexible pack is determined by inflating it with air at a specific pace until it bursts. In addition to the burst pressure measurement, the location and type of failure are recorded. The test is used to determine the likelihood of a pack failing when subjected to pressure differentials, such as those encountered during retorting or air shipment. Our bursting strength tester can measure the bursting strength of single-layer or multi-layer paper and can be used to test the blasting strength of leather, paper, thin metal sheet, etc. PRODUCT DETAILS
Tensile Strength Testing
A tensile strength test is a mechanical test performed on packaging materials to determine the maximum load force that can be applied to a material before it ruptures or tears. Our electronic tensile tester can test the tensile strength, peeling strength, heat sealing strength, tearing strength, piercing strength, compression strength, bending strength, and cutting strength of the plastic film, composite film, tape, soft packaging material, rubber sheets, paper, non-woven fabrics, and other packaging materials.
Drop Testing
Drop tests can be conducted on packaging in various orientations and from a range of heights to determine its impact strength.
Peel Testing
We have the equipment to measure the peel strength of a range of pack formats. The equipment is capable of running at different angles and speeds during a test cycle.
Tear Resistance Testing
The tear tester (Elmendorf Method) is mainly used to measure the tear resistance of paper and film. It is controlled by a computer automatically and can be tested independently. Suitable for testing tear resistance of flexible PVC, polyolefin, polyester, composite film, sheet, non-woven fabric, textile, paper, board, etc.
Pendulum Impact Testing
Pendulum impact testing is used to determine the impact resistance, strength and breakage characteristics of a range of different pack formats in order to ensure that they are fit for purpose. Impact testing can be done on a variety of items, including glass, plastic, and glassware packaging. Typically, impacts are performed at the item’s contact point, such as the shoulder and heel of a bottle or the rim of a pint glass, and the testing is repeated until the sample fails. Testing at various precise impact positions, on the other hand, is possible. PRODUCT DETAILS
Adhesive Bond Strength Testing
It is applied to test the fastness combination of gravure printing process production of plastic film and cellophane decoration prints (including the composite film printing products). It is also used for vacuum coating, surface coating, composite, and other related processes to form the surface layer attached to the state test.
Torque Testing
Torque testing determines the amount of force necessary to open a jar or bottle closure, and must strike a balance between the importance of closure integrity and the convenience of consumers who want to open the packaging. The application and removal closure torques are measured using a digital closure torque tester.
