TT-RHEO Series Rotational Rheometer

TESTRON TT-RHEO Series Rheometers are designed to measure the viscosity (apparent viscosity) of both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids under specific rotational speeds and spindle configurations. In industries such as coatings, inks, adhesives, and polymer materials, most resins, emulsions, and finished products exhibit non-Newtonian behaviour, meaning their viscosity changes under varying shear rates (influenced by rotational speed and spindle geometry).

To effectively compare the rheological characteristics of different materials, it is common practice to evaluate parameters such as thixotropy or the dilution index. These parameters reflect how viscosity changes when shear rate increases or decreases indicating shear-thinning behaviour or how the material recovers after exposure to high-shear conditions.

TESTRON Rheometers are available in multiple models designed to suit diverse material types and testing requirements. Operators can create customized testing programs (e.g., automatic shear rate adjustments) and utilize dedicated rheology analysis software to simulate real-world application conditions and comprehensively analyse material performance.
