Testing Principle of TT-SRT06.1 Scratch Resistance Tester
Place the specimen into the groove of the thickness control device and adjust the position of the set screw as required. Mount the specimen onto the rotatable circular platform, then secure it firmly using the pressure block and set screw. Insert the scraper head into the groove corresponding to the midpoint of the weighing rod. Carefully rotate the balance rod until the tip of the scraper head makes precise contact with the specimen surface. Start the instrument to initiate the test. As the circular platform rotates, the scraper head will move across the specimen surface, producing a scratch.
Application of TT-SRT06.1 Scratch Resistance Tester
It is applicable for testing rigid organic materials, coating adhesives, powder coatings, anodized materials, soft metals, plastics, glass, and protective coatings. It can also be used to assess coating adhesion quality and the ultimate performance of similar materials.
