A density meter, also known as a densimeter, is a device that measures the density.
The most basic principle of how density is calculated is by the formula: ρ = m / v
Where:
ρ = the density of the sample.
m = the mass of the sample.
v = the volume of the sample.
Electronic Densimeters check specific gravity based on Archimedes principle
Specific gravity may be defined as the ratio of density of one material to the density of reference material. (Generally, water at 4 ℃.). Specific gravity of water is closest to 1 at 4℃.
Every material has each different density or specific gravity. Density measurement is very effective for checking the type and mixing ratio of the materials, evaluating quality, and comparing products etc. Electronic densimeter adopts simple testing procedure and measurement principle. Any one can measure the density of sample in a short time without error.
TESTRON supplies high quality electronic densimeter or density meters.
