UL 651 Falling weight impact tester is designed to determine the resistance to external blows of rigid PVC (40/80) conduit. Test pieces are subject to blow from a falling striker, of specified mass and shape, dropped from a known height onto the test piece. Seven out of ten specimens shall have no crack or tear shorter than 1/32”.
Falling Weight Impact Tester Technical parameters:
- Impact height: 100mm to 3350mm
- Height error: ±3mm
- Striker rising speed: 12m/min
- Striker weight: 9.1kg (φ51) and 34kg (φ150)
- Test specimen {outside diameter): 1/2” to 6”, specimen length: 150mm
Falling Weight Impact Tester Features:
- A colorful touch screen is used for parameter setting, with the advantages of visual display & easy operation.
- The pneumatic anti-rebound device is used for catching the striker after impact on the specimen. Controlled by the air cylinder, which has the features of rapid response and work pressure adjustable. The striker catching plate is composed of high-strength material and buffering Polyurethane material.
- Each size of PVC conduit is equipped with a solid steel plate, making specimen installation more easily.
- Thanks to the special design on the guiding tube and air hose, there has less air friction and no friction between the striker and the guiding tube.
- The impact height may be set between 100mm to 3350mm.
