TESTRON dichloromethane resistance tester is designed for determining the resistance of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride pipes (PVC-U) to dichloromethane at a specified temperature. It is applicable to all PVC-U pipes, irrespective of their intended use. The method can be used as a rapid means of quality control during manufacturer.
A length of PVC-U pipe is chamfered at one end to an angle dependent on thickness and immersed in dichloromethane for 30 minutes at a temperature defined by the relevant standard to ensure that the PVC-U is not connected at that temperature. To decrease evaporation, the surface area of the dichloromethane is kept to a minimum for safety reasons, and the dichloromethane is covered by a deep layer of water. The test piece is held in the water layer after immersion in dichloromethane to allow it to “drip” before final drying and inspection.
Feature for dichloromethane resistance tester:
- The insulation system adapts the inner lining wrapping the whole body, two kinds of insulation materials are used for good insulation performance& long-term energy saving.
- During the heating or cooling process, the outer chamber temperature is close to room temperature, which greatly improves the safety of the whole machine, also save more than 70% of power consumption.
- Built-in heater largely improves the high heat exchange efficiency.
- The refrigeration device is placed outside, which has no influence on the temperature of the laboratory.
- The chamber lid lid is controlled by the gas spring, making operation more reliable and convenient. The lid is sealed with silicone rubber strip, no air overflow even at high temperature.
- Structural frame bottom of the box, bearing high weight & deformation resistance.
